Chris and I started our journey to Tobago on September 21st at about 6pm, when we headed to Toronto Pearson International Airport. We arrived around 9pm, checked-in, went through customs and then boarded the plane. Our flight took off at 11:55pm and I must say I wish I had a nap that day!! We arrived in Trinidad at around 5:30am, then had our flight over to Tobago at 7:55am. The second flight was short and we arrived at Stonehaven Villas at around 8:30am on September 22nd – the first official day of the dream fishing vacation!

We were picked up at the airport, and taken to Anous #11 – our home for 8 days! We were greeted by Audrey, our housekeeper. She showed us around the 3,700 square foot villa – what a place! After 24 hours with only a quick nap, the arrival to the villa felt more like a dream. We explored our vacation home, took some photos/videos, and then took a quick nap. We slept until about 12 noon, and then woke up and had some lunch (toast, eggs and juice provided by Stonehaven) and then jumped in our own private pool for a few hours to cool off!
We went down to the Pavillion Lounge for some ‘Happy Hour’ drinks, (local Carib beer, and some exotic drinks too) went back to the villa and changed for dinner, which we also had at the Pavillion. The meals were delicious! What a great first day in paradise!
Videos were the second most important thing to me on this trip besides the actual fishing, so please check out the Day 1 video on Youtube, and don’t forget to subscribe so you can check out each day as I post them!
Day 2….. FISHING! Stay tuned!
