Ladies Walleye Weekend 2020

I am looking for a few ladies to join us for the 5th annual Ladies Walleye Weekend taking place November 20, 21 & 22 on the Bay of Quinte out of Picton, Ontario. I started this event 5 years ago as a way to get more women out on the water in the fall to experience the incredible walleye fishing on the Bay of Quinte. It has been a fantastic opportunity for women to learn about this style of fishing (trolling), regardless of experience or skill, and to meet other like-minded anglers. Over the years, most women have attended the event solo and did not know anyone else before hand. It is amazing how quickly friendships form with the shared passion for fishing! There have been some great memories made (even happy tears shed), with lots of laughter, and of course some nice fish caught, too! While catching fish is never a guarantee, it is a wonderful time to experience Bay of Quinte walleye fishing. At this time of year, the Lake Ontario walleye migration occurs with a large concentration of fish stacking up inside the Bay, providing anglers the opportunity at catching the walleye of a lifetime.

Your Guides:

There will be 3 charter guides taking the ladies out this year. Now that I have a larger boat, I’m very excited to be running my boat in this year’s event. I’m grateful to have two incredible guides partnering once again for this year’s event, Captain Greg Amiel of Fishing 4 Tails and Captain Shawn Banks of Homewrecker Charters. Both are not only wonderful guides, but also great people. We are going to have an amazing weekend! I’ve included the details for this year’s event below. All fishing equipment will be provided by the guides. Guests should dress for winter weather as it can be very cold this time of year, as well as bring a valid fishing license, and any personal food/drinks needed for a day on the water.

Event Date (3 days):

November 20, 21 and 22, 2020.

Please note: It is suggested that all guests book accommodations for Thursday night (November 19th) so as not to be late for a bright and early start on Friday morning. Charters typically run from 7am to 3pm out of Picton Harbour.

Availability:

There will be 12 spaces available (although a number of spaces have already been reserved with returning guests from last year). Each charter boat will hold 4 guests. These groups of 4 will rotate each day so everyone gets a chance to fish with each guide. Openings will be on a first-come first-serve basis, so please reserve your spot as soon as possible.

Please note: If you miss out on this year’s event, I do offer walleye fishing charters (not exclusive to women) throughout the fall season. You can find more details here: Fishing Charters with Ashley Rae

Accommodations:

Accommodations are not included in the price and are the responsibility of each guest. I cannot speak for all of the accommodation options in Picton, but have personally stayed at the Picton Harbour Inn which is conveniently located walking distance from the boat launch. For a list of some of the other accommodation options in the area, here’s a link to the Prince Edward County website:  https://www.visitpec.ca/stay/

Once you have confirmed your spot, I suggest booking your accommodations as soon as possible to ensure availability.

Cost:

$500 per person (including taxes) + accommodations

The cost above includes 3 chartered fishing trips. Please note: If a fishing day is cancelled on account of poor weather for safety reasons, guests will be refunded for that day.

Please note: If the event is cancelled due to any changes in government regulations/recommendations surrounding the pandemic, everyone will receive a full refund for the fishing charters.

Important Dates:

A deposit amount of $300 is due immediately to reserve your spot.

The remainder of $200 is due by October 4.

To reserve your spot or inquire with any questions, please use the contact form below.

Thank you for your interest!
