Ashley Rae is a year-round multi-species angler residing in Ottawa, Ontario (Canada). She began this blog in 2009 as a way to document her fishing adventures and has since grown to write for various publications and websites internationally, and has worked with numerous tourism and government organizations to promote fishing. Her article count is in the hundreds. Ashley is a freelance writer, blogger, and occasionally presents seminars at sports shows and events. She also owns and operates a fishing guide service catered towards teaching women to fish.
Ashley has hosted and has appeared on fishing television shows on the World Fishing Network and beyond. In 2016, Ashley was named as a “Game Changer” and “one of 11 outdoorswomen transforming the face of hunting and fishing” by Field & Stream Magazine. Ashley and her good friend Erik Luzak won the 2018 FLW Canada Cup on the Bay of Quinte.
Ashley spends most of her time fishing throughout Southeastern Ontario but also enjoys traveling to new destinations throughout Canada and beyond. She has a strong social media presence with an entirely organic following.
