I’m always open to exploring new opportunities! Located in Ottawa (Ontario, Canada), I am a year-round multi-species angler that loves to travel and fish new waters. I enjoy sharing my passion for fishing and aim to educate and inspire others (especially women) to get out on the water and enjoy this incredible sport.

Currently my work includes; magazine articles (internationally), freelance articles for print and online, blogging, social media campaigns, destination/travel/adventure pieces, fishing photography, videography, and event planning/hosting. I have recently launched a fishing guide service catered towards teaching women to fish (called ‘Ladies Learn To Fish’). I’m occasionally involved with on-air/on-camera hosting, seminars, presentations, and more. For the past 3 years, I have been the Show Ambassador for Ontario Boat Shows and am looking forward to continuing this relationship next season! The links below will take you to some of the recent articles and projects I have been involved with. If you’d like to discuss collaborations and/or writing opportunities, please send me a message through the contact form below.

Lennox & Addington County – During the spring and summer of 2018 I explored the waters of Lennox & Addington County, located in Southeastern Ontario. I documented my adventures along the way through a blogging and social media campaign. This was a special opportunity for me as I grew up in this region and it’s where my passion for fishing was sparked. I’m grateful to have been involved in the rebranding of this region, titled ‘Naturally L&A‘, which took home two National Marketing Awards at the Economic Development Association of Canada Conference in September 2018. Read about my fishing adventures in Lennox & Addington County here:

Ontario Parks Blog – In January 2017, I became a fishing contributor for the Ontario Parks Blog. Provincial Parks make up 9 percent of our beautiful province, providing some pretty incredible fishing locations within! Over the past couple years I’ve had so much fun traveling to various parks documenting my fishing experiences (available in English and French) throughout the seasons . You can view my past fishing adventures here:

OODOntario OUT of DOORS Magazine – I am grateful to be an occasional freelance contributor for this well-known magazine that covers all things fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. It was exciting to be featured in the cover story (and cover shot) in the January-February 2016 edition. To learn more about Ontario Out of Doors, visit:

Northeastern Ontario Tourism – I’ve had so many memorable fishing experiences throughout Northeastern Ontario over the years, whether out on the open water or chasing fish through the ice. This part of our province offers some spectacular destinations. To read about my fishing adventures and check out the lodges I’ve stayed with, visit:

Midwest-OutdoorsMidWest Outdoors – This monthly magazine, based out of Illinois, has been in publication since 1967 and is widely distributed across the United States. I’ve been fortunate to share some of my favourite fishing locations in the ‘Canada Fever’ section over the past few years. Learn more at:

ohtowander-logoOntario’s Highlands – Beginning during summer 2017, I had the opportunity to explore the Ontario’s Highlands region, documenting my adventures here on my blog, on my social media pages, YouTube channel, and on the Ontario’s Highlands website. Learn more about this region at:

I’ve been very fortunate to work with a wide variety of organizations, companies, and publications over the years since launching this blog in 2009. The partnerships listed above are those who I have recently worked with. I look forward to the opportunities the future holds! With over 78,000 followers on social media and over half a million visits to my blog, I’m thankful to have a strong support system behind me as I explore new waters and experiences. If you’re interested in working with me or have any questions, please use the form below to get the conversation started. I’d be happy to send along my current media kit.
