Thanks for stopping by my site! I’m Ashley Rae, a multi-species angler based out of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I am a full-time fishing writer and video/content creator. I fell in love with the sport of fishing as a child and made the decision many years ago that I would somehow find a way to turn my passion into a career. Although it has been a long, winding, and interesting journey (to say the least), I am grateful to now be fully self-employed doing what I love!

Over the past 10 years, I have shared my passion for fishing by documenting my experiences on the water, creating educational and informative articles, videos, and social media content, as well as hosting fishing seminars and events. Some of the work I do includes:

Writing informative blogs and articles for international websites and publications.
Partnering with organizations and brands on blog content here on my site.
Partnering with organizations and brands on social media content on my channels, or to help my clients and partners incorporate fishing content within their social media channels.
Hosting fishing seminars at trade shows.
Hosting events.
Public safety awareness campaigns, and public awareness campaigns on invasive species.

Past Projects

Ontario’s Southwest Tourism Fishing Marketing Campaign

In 2021 and 2022, I travelled throughout Ontario’s Southwest to highlight and document the wide variety of fishing opportunities found in various communities throughout this region. From trolling for walleye on Lake Erie, to casting for pike and bass in Long Point Bay, and even ice fishing for panfish on Rondeau Bay – each experience was unique! These adventures were documented through video blogs, written blogs, and through my social media channels.
