Thanks for stopping by! I’m Ashley Rae, a year-round multi-species angler based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I fell in love with fishing at a young age, and through a long and winding journey, turned my passion into a career.

Past Projects

Northeastern Ontario Tourism

During July of 2025, I partnered with Northeastern Ontario Tourism to highlight 3 fishing destinations in the region, including Temiskaming Shores, Sudbury, and North Bay. I created video blogs, articles, and social media content to document my fishing adventures in each community.

City of Elliot Lake

Since 2023, I’ve had the privilege of working with the City of Elliot Lake to explore and showcase the diverse fishing opportunities found in this region through YouTube videos, articles, and social media content. My experiences here have ranged from staying at a remote fishing lodge and exploring back lakes for brook trout and lake trout, to chasing splake and smallmouth bass by kayak, pursuing smallmouth bass, northern pike, and lake trout aboard my boat, and even getting out ice fishing in the winter. I’ve truly enjoyed the opportunity to explore and connect with this amazing region.

Ontario’s Southwest

In 2021 and 2022, I traveled across Ontario’s Southwest to sample and showcase the diverse fishing opportunities. This included trolling for walleye on Lake Erie, casting for pike and bass in Long Point Bay, and ice fishing for panfish on Rondeau Bay. Each experience was memorable!
