No matter how many fish I’ve landed in my lifetime, I’ll never be able to keep my composure when a 10-pound walleye hits the deck! Can you blame me?! I didn’t realize just how much I actually do freak out until watching this video taken during the fall on the Bay of Quinte! (You may have to crank up the sound a bit!) Thank you to Eric, my net man!

39 days until walleye opener on the Bay of Quinte and I sure hope to find some big ones during the Kiwanis Walleye World Fishing Derby! I first fished this event nearly 10 years ago in 2008 and look forward to it each year. I am especially excited this year going in with my new deep-v Alumacraft. This boat is set up for trolling and can handle the big water. Opening weekend can often throw some crazy weather at us, but I’m not worried this time.

Hope you enjoy the video and as always, thanks for stopping by! If you’d like to receive emails each time I post a new blog please subscribe below. You can also connect with me on social media:

  1. Yes I think we all get wild over a 10 pound Walleye on the line, and is hard to keep composure for sure, nice fish, and the way it sounds there will be many more!! Good Luck!! @Stoneoutfitter1
