It’s hard to believe we’re approaching fall already. I am sad to see summer go, but fall has many perks. My favourite though, is the walleye migration on the Bay of Quinte! This time of year means the opportunity of catching the walleye of a lifetime as these Lake Ontario fish roam the Bay fattening up over the winter. Last year I organized a women’s walleye event on the Bay, and due to it’s success it seems as though this will become an annual event! I’ve included some details below for ladies who may be interested in joining us this year.
The trip includes 3 days of fishing with professional fishing guides on the Bay of Quinte out of Picton, Ontario. Guides Greg Amiel and Joe are some of the best anglers on the Bay and we had a blast fishing with them last year. Both guides are fully licensed and will provide all equipment needed for fishing. We will be trolling for these walleye.
We will arrive at our accommodations on Thursday night. I will host a casual seminar to share information on this type of fishing for those who haven’t yet experienced it. Last year we had a potluck on our arrival night and I would like to keep that tradition. We actually ended up with enough food to last us a few days! We will organize a food list once all participants are confirmed. I will also organize some games to help everyone get to know each other. We are going to have a blast!
Dates
November 24, 25 and 26. We will all arrive on Thursday, November 23rd in Picton and spend Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on the water (weather permitting at the guides discretion).
Pricing
The cost is $710.00 per person which includes 3 full days on the water and 3 nights accommodations in Picton. Participants are responsible for their own food throughout the trip however we will be organizing a sign up sheet for a potluck and other meals to help cut down on costs for everyone.
