Exciting News: World Fishing Day!

Have you heard the news?! World Fishing Day will be taking place on Saturday, June 23rd, 2018! This event has been created to unite anglers from all around the globe in a celebration of all things fishing, and to inspire more people to get involved in our amazing sport. World Fishing Day will include a network of free local fishing events around the world, and a 24-hour live fishing broadcast featuring anglers and celebrities from various locations across the globe.

Fishing TV, an on-demand fishing network based out of London (UK), will be hosting the live broadcast showcasing some of the most iconic fisheries and fish species from 24 different countries. I am very excited to share that I have been invited to be part of World Fishing Day as a Fishbrain Ambassador representing fishing in Canada! I’ll be sharing more details as we get closer to the event but I am very excited to be part of the live broadcast as I fish somewhere in Canada! I may even have a special guest joining me aboard my boat on this day! 😉 Read on to learn about how you can get involved in World Fishing Day, too!

Fishbrain, the most popular mobile fishing and social network for fishing, is the official app partner for World Fishing Day. Fishbrain will be incorporating live data into the broadcast including videos and images uploaded by users on the app. If you’re not on Fishbrain yet, hop on and join our community here: https://fishbrain.com/ Once you’ve created an account, please connect with me! My username is: SheLovesToFish

Now the big question is, where shall I fish on World Fishing Day?! Where will you be fishing? The event falls just a week after bass opener here where I live in Ontario, so I am sure I’ll be chasing some green or bronze fish, or perhaps both!

  1. Hi Ashley, Awesome. Another great opportunity for anglers to express how fishing connects us with nature…. and how that connection inspires a lifelong devotion to protecting our natural resources. Who cares more about healthy waterways and our fisheries?

I have fishonthebrain already. Keep me posted and I’ll help promote.
